Hello, my name is Erica Hoskins. I am recently married and live in Urbandale, Iowa. I am currently a full-time Diet Clerk at Broadlawns Medical Center and I also waitress at The Chicken Coop in Urbandale and sell Pampered Chef part-time.
I graduated from Dallas Center - Grimes High School in 2011. I was a member of the football, wrestling, and competition cheer squad all 4 years and also participated in choir, show choir, Grease - The Musical, and studio dance (ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop). After graduating, I moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa to attend Iowa Central Community College for 2 years to achieve my Associates Degree. When I was there, I was a member of the nationally ranked dance team and participated in a musical my sophomore year. We competed at the Iowa State Dance Team Championships held at Wells Fargo Arena, danced at football and basketball games, did lots of volunteer work, and flew to Daytona, Florida for the NDA Nationals where we were ranked 6th in the community college division. After receiving my degree, I moved back to Des Moines to achieve my bachelor’s at Grand View University. There I was a member of the dance team for 2 years. We also participated in state, nationals, football and basketball games, and did lots of volunteer work as well. Shortly after graduating, I accepted a position at Urbandale High School as the assistant cheer coach where I coached for 2 years.
Dance has always been a big part of my growing up. I started dancing when I was 2 years old with Ms. Carlene in Grimes. Dance is my life and I want to share my passion with others. I have a true passion for helping others achieve their goals and I have a very determined, compassionate, and motivated personality. I am looking forward to working with the students and the teachers here at Showtime!
